Your Physiotherapist in Mississauga
When pain or injury starts affecting how you live, work, and move through your day, the right support makes a real difference.
As a female physiotherapist in Mississauga, I work with individuals navigating injury recovery, chronic pain, post-surgical rehabilitation, and movement challenges. My approach begins with careful listening, understanding how your body moves, where it is limited, and respecting where you are in your recovery.
Sessions focus on restoring strength, mobility, and confidence through evidence-based treatment: hands-on techniques, guided exercises, and movement education designed to support healing while reducing the risk of re-injury.
At Innova, physiotherapy is part of a larger support system. When your recovery benefits from additional care, I coordinate directly with our chiropractic, massage, and acupuncture teams to ensure you receive comprehensive, connected support.

Questions About Physiotherapy in Mississauga
What happens during the first physiotherapy visit?
Your first visit includes a detailed health history review, movement and strength assessment, and a clear treatment plan based on your goals. You will leave with recommended next steps and, in many cases, a starter home exercise program.
What can physiotherapy help with?
Physiotherapy may support pain, injury recovery, reduced mobility, strength rebuilding, balance concerns, post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, back or neck concerns, and return-to-activity goals. The right approach depends on your assessment, health history, symptoms, and personal goals.
Do I need a referral for physiotherapy in Ontario?
You usually do not need a physician referral to book physiotherapy in Ontario. However, some extended health insurance plans may require a referral for reimbursement. If insurance coverage is important, check your plan before booking and bring any required documentation.
How can I verify a physiotherapist in Ontario?
Physiotherapists in Ontario are regulated by the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario. Patients can verify whether a physiotherapist is registered by searching the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario Public Register.
Will physiotherapy hurt?
Physiotherapy should be adapted to your comfort, condition, and goals. Some exercises or movements may feel challenging, and mild soreness can occur as your body adapts. Sharp pain, worsening symptoms, or discomfort that feels unsafe should be discussed with your physiotherapist right away.
How long does physiotherapy take to work?
There is no fixed timeline. Progress depends on your condition, health history, activity level, goals, consistency, and how your body responds. Some people notice changes quickly, while more complex or long-standing concerns may require a longer plan.
What is the difference between physiotherapy and chiropractic care?
Physiotherapy often focuses on movement, strength, mobility, rehabilitation, exercise, and function. Chiropractic care may focus more on spine, joint, muscle, posture, and movement-related concerns. The best option depends on your symptoms, goals, and assessment findings.
Can physiotherapy be combined with massage therapy or chiropractic care?
Yes, when appropriate. Physiotherapy may be combined with registered massage therapy, chiropractic care, acupuncture, or other services when each service has a clear role. For example, physiotherapy may focus on strength and movement while massage therapy supports soft-tissue comfort.
Book Physiotherapy in Mississauga
